Brian Ohorilko is the Administrator of the Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission (IRGC). He joined the IRGC in 2004, serving as Administrator since 2012 where he is responsible for overseeing the regulation of sports wagering, fantasy sports contests, casino gambling, and pari-mutuel racing for the State of Iowa. Brian’s work with the IRGC includes the development of the Report on the Possible Regulation of Intrastate Internet Poker in the State of Iowa prepared for the 2012 Iowa General Assembly, the Report on the Possible Authorization of Exchange Wagering prepared for the 2016 Iowa General Assembly, and various technical standards and guidelines for Iowa. Most recently Brian lead efforts to implement sports wagering and fantasy sports contest legislation that was signed into law in May 2019. Prior to joining the IRGC, Brian worked in the racing and gaming industry at a licensed racetrack in Iowa performing various simulcast and marketing duties. Brian received his B.S. degree from Iowa State University and his M.S. degree from Central Michigan University.
